Stephen Mathew Hernandez (@smhtx) is a digital artist from Texas that uses unreserved and cryptic story telling through New Media to examine internet subcultures.

Stephen's current work is an expression of his interest in video games and anime and their ability to evoke emotion and teach through their narratives. Works such as NEON GENESIS EVANGELION and KATAMARI DAMACY are the primary inspirations for his new show, LAKES. His work is produced to display cute and comforting content by utilizing a simplistic color pallet and the imagery of the piece; however, there are additional messages within each composition that provoke thought about the truths of the world and of the self.

In addition to being displayed at the Goodluckhavefun gallery, his works have been published in places such as East Austin Studio Tour 2020 and Graphic Design Festival Scotland 2019.
